Welcome to Kids Club Preschool Summer Camp. We have lots of fun activities planned and are looking forward to a fantastic summer!
Important Reminders for Summer Camp:
- Please be sure to bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunization record and physical record. Children WILL NOT be able to attend camp without this information.
- Please be sure your child is dressed in weather appropriate clothing.
- Please pack AM and PM snack with drink for your child as well as a lunch with drink.
- Please check bulletin board daily for important parent information.
- Please encourage your child to leave all toys and personal belongings at home.
This 11 week, fully licensed camp is specically designed for your three to five year old. Children must be within 30 days of turnign three and must be potty trained to be eligible for camp. Your child will be introduced to different themes and will participate in fun activities such as:
- Story Time
- Puppet Shows
- Music & Movement
- Sensory Play
- Nature Walks
- Arts & Crafts
- Sports & Games
- Water Activities
- Theme Related Activities
Our goal for the summer is to have fun!
Camp Dates:
- Camp Begins: Monday, June 22, 2009
- Camp Ends: Thursday, September 3, 2009
Sessions:
- Full Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Half Day: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
- Extended care is available for full day campers from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Weeks 1 & 2- Friendship/Safety Weeks:
These weeks are about getting to know each other as well as the staff. We will become acclimated with the center and familiar with camp rules and expectations. There will be lots of friendship games and activities.
Weeks 3 & 4- Backyard Bonfire Weeks:
Campfire Caps, Hobo Bags, Solar Smores, Lanterns and other activities will round out these weeks as we go on nature walks, tell campfire stories and explore the great outdoors.
Weeks 5 & 6- Fun with Nature Weeks:
We will be focusing on welcoming the wildlife right in our own backyards. We will participate in activities with Bird Feeders, Bug Collectors, Nature Collage, Gardening, etc. We will learb about bugs and birds and butterflies. We will create our own little habitat and watch for them each day.
Weeks 7 & 8- Crazy Days of Summer Weeks:
We will have different activities such as Polka Dot and Stripe Day, Fancy Clothes Day, Sports Attire Day, Pajama Day, and Mismatch Day. Children will be encouraged to dress accorgingly to show their spirit.
Weeks 9 & 10- Waterplay/Fun in the Sun Weeks:
Water! Water! And More Water! We will play in sprinklers, utilize Slip n Slides and play outdoor water games. We will also have lots of water related activities like: Shell Painting, Seashell Angels, Dove Paintings, Bubble Mania and Message in a Bottle.
Week 11 - End of Summer/Getting Ready for School Week:
We will say goodbye to all of our friends and work on end of summer activities. We will spend a little time focusing on the upcoming school year and have an end of summer celebration.
